Brian and I really enjoyed washing, sanding, and painting the bottom of the boat.......NOT!
We had to strip the old VC17 bottom paint to apply the new salt water friendly anti-fouling so that we can have smooth sailing. We did this over a period of 4 weeks. Sanding the bottom was the hardest task to do, thank goodness for Brain's perseverance. Elayna was also a great help with painting.
We ended up doing 4 layers in total. The first one was black, second blue, and followed with 2 more black layers. This will allow us to determine our next time to sand and re-paint. Hopefully, this will not be for another 2 years....who knows!
